This style of Windsor chair was probably the most popular chair produced.  The back is formed from one steam-bent piece that is mortised and then wedged to the back of the seat.  The bracing spindles help give the back added support.

This chair is a good compliment to the Continuous Arm chair or the Sack-Back chair.
