Windsor Fanback Arm Chair

This large comfortable chair is the “easy chair” of the Windsor style chairs.  This chair was found in more formal settings.  One aspect that separates Fanback chairs from other Windsor chairs is the two outside posts on the back are larger and have decorative turnings.  The larger posts give the back added support.

Today this chair goes well at the ends of a dining or kitchen table with Fanback Side chairs on the side of the table.  This chair is also at home by itself in any room of the house.
