Windsor Chairs  -  Comfortable, Elegant, Timeless Design.

You really need to sit in a handmade Windsor chair to experience how comfortable they are.  There is something about a hand shaped seat that just fits.  The chair has no upholstery but is very comfortable.

 I use the same techniques and joinery that were used two hundred and fifty years ago to reproduce as close as possible  the same chairs that our ancestors enjoyed.

I find it best to go with what has worked in the past.  Why reinvent the wheel - or chair when we already have good designs that have been around for over two hundred and fifty years?

It is rewarding for me to build something that has a direct connection to our past and hopefully will be with us well into the future.  This is why I build Windsor chairs.
